The Girls, a crazy, eccentric, colourful pair who began working together in 1996. They have won several awards and become known for their self portraiture, eclectic style and twisting traditional Britishness. They are currently planning for a month long live art instillation in Selfridges running throughout April and they have roped in the help of us students at AUCB. This is a great opportunity for me to get some work experience, I have already emailed to get my name through straight away as I'm really keen to get involved with as much as possible. What I like about The Girls is their style and attitude. I love the colours of this up and coming project and for a while I have been wanting to experiment with something different and this is different from my usual style. I think it will be fun to break free and just go crazy in a project and I'm really looking forward to wading in.
